The Translating and the Computer 2026 conference (TC47) is poised to be a significant event for the translation and localization industry, with registration now open for participants across various categories. Held by ASLING in association with GALA, this year's conference promises innovative discussions and networking opportunities. Starting on October 8, the registration rates are structured to accommodate a range of participants, starting from early bird discounts to options for last-minute attendees, as described by GALA Global.

For those looking to secure their spot at the conference, the early bird registration offers a favorable EUR 315.00 rate, available until October 10. Following this window, standard registration will be open until November 30, at a slightly increased contribution of EUR 365.00. Students can benefit from a special rate of EUR 225.00, contingent upon the submission of a full-time student status certificate, ensuring wider accessibility for emerging professionals. The last-minute registration rate, beginning December 1 and leading up to the conference start, stands at EUR 400.00, providing a flexible but pricier option for those finalizing attendance plans.

With TC47 set to commence on December 3, registrants have additional choices tailored to their needs — including online attendance for a flat fee of EUR 200.00, regardless of the registration date. This flat rate facilitates participation for those unable to attend in person, demonstrating GALA's commitment to inclusivity. Additional options include a networking dinner on December 2, priced at EUR 85 per person, offering a setting for deeper engagement among industry peers.

The registration fees encompass various conference costs, such as administrative duties and catering, and are designed to ensure a seamless experience for attendees, underscored by GALA's assertion that this is where an industry becomes a community. However, places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis upon payment completion, emphasizing the urgency of securing a spot early, especially given that EUR 50.00 is non-refundable for cancellations made before November 1. As GALA states, the conference serves as a launchpad for the future of translation, making TC47 an essential event marked by rich professional exchange and growth opportunities.
